**ANSWERS AND DOUBTS FOR THE TIDAL WAVES & EARTHQUAKES-SHARED BY DARREN(MY CG LEADER)***
My personal view is that firstly we should not be surprise ABOUT where the world is heading … ie. Terrorism, War, Sars, Bird Flu, HIV, Earthquakes…because if we know the seasons we are in … we know that we are in the “end times.”
The disciples asked Jesus, “Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and the end of the age?”
“Jesus answered them, Be careful that no one misleads you, for many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are NOT FRIGHTENED or TROUBLED, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place. All this is but the beginning of the birth pangs…and this good news of the Gospel will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then will come the end.”
(Matthew 24: 3 – 14 Amplified Bible)
Nothing that happens in the world frazzles us and the end times is not something to be feared or horrified by… it is not a time for us to beat our chest and cry out “is there no God?” or “where is God ?” But rather on the contrary, know that the word of God in the Gospel written two thousand years ago already foretold these events … we are thus seeing on TV and reading in the news the fulfillment of end time prophecy.
We should know that God is in control … and that even Jesus is not silent on this subject … encouraging us to “see that you are NOT FRIGHTENED or TROUBLED” and pointing out that … these things must take place …
Back to your question … “God loves everyone why does it allow these earthquakes to happen”… My answer is… Yes, He love everyone but the truth is not everyone will be saved… ie. even though God loves everyone … not everyone will be in heaven as much as God would like them all to be… We are save when we are Christians … born again, full of the Holy Spirit and a Covenant Child because of Jesus’ work on the cross which takes away all our past, present, future sins every nano-second of the day.
I believe that in all these calamities … there are always testimonies of God’s divine protection. For example in the 911 incident, we have many testimonies of Christians who either decided to be late for work, or forgot something and had to turn back … a woman even felt lead to wear running shoes to work that day … and MANY of them escaped unharmed… DIVINE protection!
Yes I know Christian have also died in various accidents … but I know the numbers are small … But that also does not stop me from believing in a God that heals, that delivers, that protects, that keep me and all my love ones save by the grace and mercy of His shed Blood.
That why we have a hope… when the world has no hope…
When the world is fearful … we are full of Faith …
When the world has no one to turn to …. We are there!
Begins with you knowing that you are a covenant child and that Jesus tells you to not be frightened or troubled and in your “explaining” to people… share with them the hope that you have in Jesus’ finished work.
This may sound ‘opportunistic’ … but if you see into the supernatural realm … it is not!
We are not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the ONLY power unto salvation !
Non-Christians who never thought about life and death .. life after death… who are lost and confused will turn to Christians who know God, know Jesus and know what’s going on … for the answers … for the peace … for the hope… for the solution … for JESUS…
Isaiah 60 v 2 – V3 says …. “ For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness, but the Lord shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
The world will get ‘darker’ mate… there will be more earthquakes, etc… however “ a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator shall you be.” (Psalm 91 v 7) and His Glory will be upon us and as it gets darker… we will get brighter … and our brightness … our hope … our confidence… in Jesus will keep us sound…
